IMO, outdated technology is outdated technology regardless of how outdated it is. Whether it's a cassette deck or an 8 track player, it can be replaced with a cd player or an ipod :) If you are stripping a building down to the bare bones to remodel, the only thing required to have the same effect is a solid foundation and infrastructure.

NES went after labor day for 2 years so summers would be longer to help the construction. A lot of work was done during the year while school was going on as you said.Quote:

my daughter started at Norton Elementary the year they started the construction and remodel. to say there wasnt' much interuption would be an understatement. When they got most of the gym finished they moved the whole lower classes into the gym with makeshift walls so they could start to remodel the lower end. finished the upper grades through the summer to they kept the interuption to as minimal as they could but still it was something to watch come together.
on anothe note, for some reason I always thought they removed the asbestos years ago when they actually added real walls to make classrooms
